Don’t let the snow get you down, there’s so much to do this weekend no matter what kind of person you are. Whether your idea of winter fun is inside or outside, we’ve got you covered. Get out there and enjoy your weekend! Here are some ideas to help kick start your plans.
1. Hit the Slopes
Snow Valley and Mount St. Louis are both opening this weekend.
Snow Valley is kicking off their season with open-close day tickets for just $25 + hst. For that price, you’d get your money’s worth in just a few hours. The hills will be open from 9 am-4 pm both Saturday and Sunday.
Mount St. Louis will be opening Friday Nov 23rd from 9 am-4:30 pm. Lift tickets for all ages will be available for $40 + hst. 14 runs, 4 lifts and 2 terrain parks will be open. Who’s ready?
2. The Blue Mountain Christmas Gift Show
For the 4th year, this weekend The Village Conference Centre in Blue Mountain will be transforming into a vibrant marketplace with over 100 vendors. Visitors can expect a variety of artisans, crafters, fashion, body & spa products, jewelry, art, Christmas decorations, tasty treats, home decor and more. Parking will be free and a shuttle service will be provided throughout Blue Mountain Resort.
The show will be running Saturday Nov 24th from 10 am-5 pm and Sunday Nov 25th from 10 am-4 pm. $5 admission for adults and kids 12 and under are free.
There is always so much to do in the Blue Mountain Village. Why not make a whole day of it and pick up some fantastic Christmas gifts along the way?
3. Park Place Tree Lighting
If you’re out and about doing Christmas shopping this weekend, you don’t have to go far for holiday festivities. Park Place will be hosting their annual tree lighting ceremony including, face painting, music and visits with Santa and his reindeer.
The event will run from 2 pm-6 pm and the tree will be lit up at dusk. Kool Fm and Rock 95 will also be on-site collecting donations for their Toy Drive.

4. Putt For Paws
Putt Mini Golf is hosting an event this weekend the OSPCA Barrie Animal Centre. Golf passes will include a round of glow-in-the-dark mini putt, pizza lunch, door prizes, five arcade tokens and more.
The event will run Saturday from 10 am-2 pm. Passes for adults are $20, passes for children 12 and under are $16 and children 2 and under are free. 75% of the funds from golf passes will be donated to the OSPCA.
5. Breakfast With Santa
This Sunday at 10 am, Life With a Baby-Simcoe is hosting a holiday breakfast with Santa at Ferndale Banquet Hall and Catering. Breakfast will include an assortment of breads, scrambled eggs, pancakes, meat, potatoes, fresh fruit and more.
Santa will be visiting for photos and to handout presents. Parents are encouraged to bring a wrapped gift with their child’s name on it, that can be given to them by Santa. Each registration will also include a photo by the photographer with Santa.
Additional features include cookie decorating, toddler activity area (with a mini ball pit), raffle table, door prizes and swag bags.

6. Evening with the Divas
“They are back….hotter, bigger and ready to shock the heck out of you.” The Deceiving Divas are returning to The Stone Grille Restaurant and Bar in Innisfil for a night of wild performances in an outrageously fun show. The show features impersonation performances of some of the greatest and latest in the entertainment industry including stars such as Cher, Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston and Shania Twain.
This show has been an absolute hit in the past. You don’t want to miss out. The event is this Saturday Nov 24th, 9 pm-12 am. Tickets are $30.
7. Barrie Curling Club Village Market Sale
The Barrie Curling Club is hosting their annual Village Market Sale this Saturday Nov 24th from 9 am-2 pm. The event will include over 60 vendors with a wide variety of products to shop for. Tour the village and collect passport points to enter the free door prize draw.
Proceeds from the event help support programs at the Barrie Curling Club. Admission and parking for the event are free.
8. Visit the Noella Festival Downtown
Downtown Barrie has officially been lit up. Grab a warm cup of your favourite beverage and take a stroll along the waterfront to see all of the beautiful lights. Check out a number of other features of the Noella festival including the Christmas tree lot, local vendors and the chance to win prizes for shopping local.
