Appointment-only Moderna and Pfizer vaccines at select pharmacies, according to the province

Vaccine available to those 18 and older

Anyone 18-years-of-age and older can now book Moderna and Pfizer vaccine appointments.

The Ontario government releasing details on its COVID-19 vaccine website Friday evening.

The province said select pharmacies in York Region, Durham Region, Hamilton, Windsor and Ottawa will offer the Moderna vaccine, while the Pfizer vaccine will be offered at select pharmacies in Toronto and Peel Region.

The ramping up comes as Canada logged more than 400,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses on Friday, a single-day record.

About 37 per cent of all Canadians, or more than 14 million people, have received at least one dose.
