Two Attempted Thefts Has Police Looking for Three Suspects

Some recent theft attempts have been caught on camera, and while nothing is missing, police still want to make arrests.

The first happened back in October, Barrie Police say two men went to businesses on Commerce Park Dr. and King St. in Barrie late on the night of October 11th to steal a big rig. No luck at the first location, and they didn’t get very far in the semi from the second. The stolen truck was found down the street, with damage to the dashboard in a presumed effort to remove the GPS tracking device.

Police have issued the following descriptions:

Suspect 1:

  • Male
  • white
  • 5’8” – 6’2” tall
  • Wearing a baseball hat, a grey and white checkered shirt, with a bandana covering his face.

Suspect 2:

  • Male
  • white
  • 5’8” – 6’2” tall
  • Wearing a baseball hat, a grey and white checkered shirt, with a bandana covering his face.

Suspects’ Vehicle is said to be a 2012+ Jeep Wrangler.

Two Suspects Spent An Evening Trying to Steal Trucks

Meanwhile, police are trying to track down a man they say got as far as the parking lot with a grocery cart of food, before being stopped by loss prevention officers. It’s said the man went to the store around 5:00 Monday afternoon, filled a cart with about $400 worth of food, and tried to bolt through the front door. Police say he was stopped in the parking lot, but left the cart behind to flee in a waiting vehicle

The suspect is described as:

  • Male
  • black
  • Approximately 6’2” tall
  • Heavy build
  • Black beard
  • Wearing grey track pants, navy blue jacket and a black baseball hat
