Bank Robber Jumped Teller Wicket To Grab Cash, Says Cops

A bank robbery in Alliston.

The OPP say someone went into the Scotiabank on Victoria St. around 4:00 Monday afternoon, and proceeded to lunge over an empty teller wicket and demand money of three employees.

Police say he then began searching cash trays, grabbing a wad of bills before fleeing the bank out the front door and down a nearby alleyway.

His face was partially covered, while employees say he appeared to be in his 20’s and of Asian descent.
