Barrie Police Seeking Wily Wire Theft Suspect

Wagon Used To Steal $1,500 in Materials from Barrie Business

Police say a bad guy brought a wagon with him to steal wire from a Barrie business.

Officers were called out to an Innisil St. business on Friday with reports of a theft. Police claim a suspect showed up around 1:00am to try and get into a fenced in compound from all sides, finally damaging it enough to be able to get through. A quantity of wire was then stolen from the location, as police claim the suspect brought a wagon to the scene of the crime.

The whole thing was caught on camera, and while police say the images are distorted due to darkness, they are able to provide a suspect description.

The estimated value of the stolen wire is approximately $1500.
