Barrie teen off to world karate championships

Will compete in the creative weapons division

The journey continues for 18-year-old Jacob Allen of Barrie.

From provincial trials in April to national team trials in May, he has dedicated every spare moment to his training.

And it has paid off.

Allen has earned a spot on the WKC Canadian national karate team and will represent the country at the World Karate and Kickboxing Championships in Niagara Falls, NY this November. He will be competing in the creative weapons division, demonstrating his sword form for the international judges.
