Carbon Tax Fight In Court This Week

Ontario is one of four provinces that has a Carbon Tax

The case the province is making against the Carbon Tax will be heard in court this week.

The governing PC’s are challenging the constitutionality of the federal Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act.

In a statement the government says the provinces, not the federal government, have the primary responsibility to regulate greenhouse gas emissions.

Ontario is part of a coalition of provinces that has a carbon tax, including Manitoba, Saskatchewan and New Brunswick.
