The Hall of Famer puts pen to paper with the Major Junior club on a new four year contract, fresh off his 9th season at the helm of the Colts.

He has a record of 304-269-38 in 612 games behind the Barrie bench and has guided the Colts to the postseason in 7 of the 9 campaigns since taking the reins in 2010-2011.

Williamson back in the Colts fold

The man that Hawerchuk replaced as Head Coach is back with the Colts in a different role.

Marty Williamson will take over the role of Senior Advisor to the Director of Hockey Operations.

Williamson, who’s the Head Coach of the Brock Badgers men’s hockey team, served as the bench boss of the Barrie Colts from 2004-2010.
