Colts Playoff Hopes Slipping Away

The Battalion propel to the 6-2 win, putting the Colts on the ropes

The North Bay Battalion, on the strength of three powerplay goals, skate to a 6-2 win over the Barrie Colts.

With the win the Battalion now find themselves five points clear of the Colts for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Justin Brazeau had a hat trick for the team in Khaki Green, Yellow, Black and White. Matthew Struthers and Brad Chenier also pitched in with three points each.

Tyler Tucker and Tyson Foerster replied for the Colts.

Kai Edmonds didn’t last the whole start, getting pulled after giving up 5 goals on 22 shots. Jet Greaves makes 11 saves in relief.

The Battalion received a 17 save performance from Christian Propp in the crease.

The Colts now find themselves in must-win territory as a loss against the Attack in Owen Sound Wednesday or a Battalion win against the Hamilton Bulldogs Thursday will eliminate Dale Hawerchuk and company from the post-season dance. For tickets to the home finale on March 16th click here.
