Community Spotlight: Stage Sense

A Music Based Adapted Day Camp

The City of Barrie’s Recreation Team run a number of Inclusion programs for people with disabilities. These programs range from adapted swimming and fitness to youth day camps that focus on creativity.

One of these fantastic programs is the Stage Sense program, an adapted camp for adults living with disabilities. The 13 participants had fun with music, theatre, dancing, and even a visit from a music therapist! While I only spent a small amount of time with them, I can tell you first hand that these are some of the best people in the world!
