Driver Charged Minutes After Ride Check Set Up in Bracebridge

Two charged with Impaired Driving on the weekend

Blame this one on bad timing, or maybe good timing.

On Friday evening Bracebridge OPP say a motorist drove up to a RIDE check within 7 minutes of police setting it up. The police did a sobriety test on the driver. A 64 year old man of no fixed address now faces impaired driving charges.

Meanwhile the next day in Gravenhurst an officer stopped a car on Bethune Drive after seeing some concerning behavior. After an investigation a 31 year old woman was charged with impaired driving.

In all cases where a driver is charged with Impaired Driving, their driver’s license is suspended for 90 days and their vehicle is impounded.
