Driver In Junior Hockey Bus Crash Sentenced To Eight Years In Prison

Crown was looking for 10 year sentence; Defence argued for a range of 1 1/2 to 4 1/2 years

Jaskirat Singh Sidhu will serve a concurrent sentence of 8 years for his role in the deadly Humboldt Broncos crash.

Jaskirat Singh Sidhu was the driver of the truck that caused the collision with the Humboldt Broncos team bus killing 16 passengers and injuring 13 others.

The 30 year pled guilty to 16 counts of dangerous driving causing death and 13 counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.
