SUMMARY:Bravado Show Choir Presents: “Mistletones” – A Magical Christmas Celebration!
DESCRIPTION:(Barrie\, Ontario) – Get ready to kick off the holiday season with a spectacular musical experience! Bravado!\, Barrie’s beloved Show Choir\, is excited to announce its enchanting Christmas show\, “Mistletones\,” set to light up the stage on November 29 and 30\, 2024\, at the Collier Street United Church. \nJoin us for an unforgettable evening filled with heartwarming melodies and festive cheer! Our talented choir will serenade you with a delightful mix of traditional carols like “O Holy Night” and “Away in a Manger\,” alongside modern favorites such as “Christmas at the Movies” and the lively “The Christmas Can-Can.” \nMusical Director Ellen Wells promises “a show that will evoke cherished memories of holidays past while creating new ones filled with awe-inspiring harmonies and a sprinkle of holiday shenanigans!” \nA special performance of the spiritual “Children\, Go Where I Send Thee” will feature Ty the Poetess\, Barrie’s Poet Laureate. Plus\, the Choir will perform a stunning rendition of “Carol of the Bells” by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych\, in Ukrainian! And don’t miss our popular guest artist\, cellist Steve McNie\, who will add a magical touch to the evening! \n  \nTickets for the evening shows are $30 per person. All tickets are available from members\, or through our website www.bravadoshowchoir.com \nBravado’s Musical production team consists of Musical Director\, Ellen Wells\, Artistic Director Marianne Derow\, and Accompanist Nena Lamarre. \nBravado Show Choir is generously sponsored by the City of Barrie\, and Barrie Charity Bingo Association. \nAbout Bravado! \n  \nBravado!\, Barrie’s show choir\, was formed in 1996 with a vision of creating a multi-artistic experience. Under the musical direction of Ellen Wells\, the choir continually challenges traditional notions of choral music by layering vocal excellence with the visual appeal of staging and choreography. Bravado! performs all music from memory\, getting “off the page” and allowing a more personal connection with their audience. Bravado’s choral fusion style transitions fluently from classical through Gospel\, Jazz\, and Broadway\, to Rock without sacrificing musical excellence. \nJoin us for “Mistletones” and experience the magic of the season through music\, community spirit\, and unforgettable memories! \nFor more information\, please contact: Chuck Ruttan\, Promotion Coordinator\nPhone: 705-737-2646\nEmail: cfruttan@rogers.com \nLet the festivities begin!
