SUMMARY:Coldest Night of the Year Bradford in support of United Way Simcoe Muskoka
DESCRIPTION:Poverty is an everyday reality for a growing number of our friends and neighbours. It brings with it increased physical and mental health risks and creates obstacles most people never have to think about. \n\n\nTackling an issue as complex as poverty takes all of us. Your United Way brings together local agencies\, community members\, government agencies\, and businesses to address the root causes of poverty and social isolation in a way that drives long-lasting change. One of the ways we do this is by funding multi-year collaborative projects right here in our in our community. \nIn Bradford\, funds are being raised for a project called Groundwork\, which is being led by group called WOW Living. Groundwork is a wrap-around program for individuals aged 15 years and older living in poverty in South Simcoe. The program provides consistent support to individuals by incorporating group training\, barrier free mental health supports\, mentorship and safe employment opportunities.
