SUMMARY:The Bowie Lives at Midland Cultural Centre
DESCRIPTION:Coming off a strong 2025 season\, The Bowie Lives takes its show on the road with their 3rd return appearance at The Midland Cultural Centre at 333 King Street\, Midland\, Ontario\, presented by Blackrose Entertainment on May 23\, 2026 at 730pm\n\nThis show has become a ritual. It always sells out\, and for good reason: as this band doesn’t do tribute-by-numbers. The sets moves confidently through Bowie's catalogue\, from the essential anthems to the darker\, stranger corners\, played with conviction rather than costume.\n\nThe result is a night that feels less like nostalgia and more like a living conversation with the music that delivers the songs with grit\, respect\, and zero cosplay\, to a room known for sound\, atmosphere.\n\nIf history is any guide\, waiting is not advised.\nTickets on sale at: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/midlandculturalcentre/1985995\n\n\n\nSame room. Same electricity. Different year — same necessity. \n\n\nFor more info visit https://www.thebowielives.com/ \n\nAnd for further info on The Midland Cultural Centre www.midlandculturalcentre.com

SUMMARY:The Bowie Lives Back by Popular Demand Midland Cultural Centre May 23 2026 730pm
DESCRIPTION:May 23 2026 730pm The Bowie Lives returns by popular demand to the Midland Cultural Centre and is available for interviews.\n\nThe Bowie Lives is a musical tribute to the legendary David Bowie\, led by Canadian performer Michael Bell. Bell is known for his uncanny ability to emulate Bowie’s vocal style and stage presence\, earning acclaim for his dedication to authenticity and detail. The show celebrates Bowie's career\, featuring iconic hits like Space Oddity\, Heroes\, Let’s Dance and so much more.\nMichael Bell has been praised for his interpretation of Bowie’s music and his theatrical delivery\, making the experience more than just a concert—it's a vivid recreation of Bowie's artistic spirit. The tribute also incorporates Bowie’s flamboyant costumes\, intricate arrangements\, and multimedia visuals to capture the essence of his legendary performances. \nMichael discovered Bowie as a teen and performed songs with a number of his early bands. By the 80’s his first theatrical production “ChangesAllBowie” toured the “A circuit” before hanging up his “Ziggy” in the early ’90s. Decades passed. After David’s untimely death on January 10\, 2016\, Michael’s calling returned; his calling to honour the man who helped shape his life.\n\n\n\nComing off a strong 2025 season\, The Bowie Lives takes its show on the road with their 3rd return appearance at The Midland Cultural Centre at 333 King Street\, Midland\, Ontario\, presented by Blackrose Entertainment on May 23\, 2026 at 730pm\n\nThis show has become a ritual. SUMMARY:Local History Comes to Life at Georgian Theatre with "Oro's Promise"
DESCRIPTION:Infinity Arts Productions Brings Local Black History to the Georgian Theatre Stage with “Oro’s Promise”\nBARRIE\, ON March 4\, 2026 - Infinity Arts Productions (IPAS) will present an original full-scale musical for the second time at the Georgian Theatre - marking another significant milestone for the local studio and a powerful moment for Simcoe County storytelling. The show opens to the public Friday March 6\, 2026 at 7:00 PM and Saturday March 7\, 2026 at 2:00 PM & 7:00 PM. \n“Oro’s Promise: Lost Heroes of Oro Part Two” continues the journey that began with the studio’s successful original production\, Lost Heroes of Oro in 2022. This second chapter brings audiences back to the 1840s and into the heart of Oro Township’s Black settlement history - told through the eyes of a child. \nSet during the Underground Railroad\, the musical follows ten-year-old Amara and her family as they flee slavery in the United States and seek freedom in Oro Township. While Canada represents hope\, the reality is far more complex: brutal winters\, food scarcity\, and prejudice that does not end at the border. When Amara forms an unlikely friendship with a white settler girl\, Betty-Lynn\, the story explores courage\, community\, and the deeper meaning of freedom from a child’s point of view. \nThe production highlights a vital chapter of Oro-Medonte and Simcoe County history — including the building of the historic African Episcopal Church — and brings that legacy to life for a new generation. \n“This story belongs here\,” says Alinka Angelova\, Owner of Infinity Arts Productions. “Oro’s Black history is part of our shared heritage in Simcoe County. Presenting it on the Georgian Theatre stage elevates these stories to the level they deserve.” \nThe production features a unique collaboration of professional talent including its young lead actor from New Brunswick in the role of Amara. Also featuring local student performers from Barrie’s Infinity Performing Arts Studio. \nWritten\, directed\, and produced by Alinka Angelova\, with musical arrangements by Robert Chambers\, the show meets professional theatre standards creating a production that is both educational and artistically ambitious. \nIn addition to public performances\, the show will welcome schools from across the region for daytime performances\, offering students a powerful opportunity to experience local history through live theatre. \nTickets for public performances are available through TicketPro. https://tprocob.ticketpro.ca/en/pages/1663625008?aff=cob. Community members are encouraged to attend and support this locally produced musical that honours the rich and often under-told history of Oro-Medonte and Simcoe County. \nFor tickets and information\, visit Infinity Arts Productions online or contact the Georgian Box Office directly at (705) 739-4228 .

SUMMARY:The Bowie Lives: A Bowie Spectacular - Canada's Sensational Tribute To David Bowie
DESCRIPTION:THE BOWIE LIVES: A BOWIE SPECTACULAR\nCANADA’S SENSATIONAL TRIBUTE TO DAVID BOWIE \nIMMEDIATE RELEASE\nThe Bowie Lives: A Bowie Spectacular-Canada’s Sensational Tribute to David Bowie\,\nTHE ORILLIA OPERA HOUSE\nSEPTEMBER 19 2025 7:30PM\n20 MISSISSAUGA ROAD W Orillia\, ON\nPh. 705-326-8011 boxoffice@orillia.ca \nTICKETS:\nhttps://secure1.tixhub.com/orillia-oh/online/b_otix.asp?cboPerformances=5764&cboEvent=2405&width=1663 \nSo what is “The Bowie Lives?\nENJOY OUR PROMO VIDEO\n \n“The show was just fantastic! Michael Bell sounded more like Bowie than Bowie! The musicians were stellar and on top of their game. The choreography fit nicely with the delivery. Michael's presentation was right on point... the full house loved the 'call and answer' segments and took part in the Show. And\, there were even some audience members that dressed in costume danced in the aisles!” ~ Pat Porter Radio Personality 4680 Q. \n“Saw the show last night in Toronto and was blown away. Was a little apprehensive at first as I have been a Bowie fan since I was a teen and I was concerned the band may not do the songs justice. I was overwhelmingly thrilled at what I heard and saw\, from the first note I was hooked. The biggest takeaway is you can tell the lead singer is truly a devoted fan himself. Loved the way you honored David Bowie. Hope to see you again real soon!” \nWhat the industry has to say…\n“5 Stars! Unbelievable! I could have watched them for two more hours!” says Richard Crouse of CTV News\, CP24\, NewsTalk1010\, and Host of CTV PopLife. \n“By far\, the best & coolest Bowie Tribute I’ve seen!” says Sam Grosso\,of Cadillac Productions. \n“As close as it gets!” says MusikMirage.com \nThey’re all talking about the “The Bowie Lives” A Bowie Spectacular-Canada’s Sensational Tribute to David Bowie! \nMichael Bell is an award-winning vocalist who channels the sound and styles of David Bowie\, and with the help of an all-star band\, our multimedia\, a theater\, and costumes\, as they capture the imagination of fans young and old. Michael discovered Bowie as a teen and performed songs with a number of his early bands. By the 80’s his first theatrical production “ChangesAllBowie” toured the “A circuit” before hanging up his “Ziggy” in the early ’90s. Decades passed. After David’s untimely death on January 10\, 2016\, Michael’s calling returned; his calling to honor the man who helped shape his life. Together with musical director Michael Beauclerc\, they began auditioning players to fill out a band capable of performing some of Rock’s most challenging material. The Bowie Lives bring all hits to the stage; Space Oddity to Lazarus\, and everything in between. \nThe Bowie Lives PRE-SHOW includes the Bowie Bazaar; T-shirts\, collectibles\, LPs and DVDs\, and more. Come dressed as your favorite David Bowie persona or wear your favorite swag and be rewarded! Don’t forget to grab a button! \nMichael is also the subject of an upcoming documentary film “Being David Bowie” and an upcoming web series “The Bowie Lives.” \nFor more information visit https://www.thebowielives.com/\nor\nTwitter/Instagram/Facebook/thebowielives \n
