DESCRIPTION:Tread Lightly & Embrace Active Transportation This June! \nJune is Bike Month—a province-wide celebration of cycling from June 1 to 30—and Living Green Barrie is once again teaming up with Firebird Community Cycle to bring you the Second Annual Barrie Bicycle Poker Ride on Saturday\, June 7\, 2025! \nThis family-friendly\, self-directed ride invites you to explore Barrie on two wheels\, support local businesses\, and celebrate active transportation—all while having a blast with your crew. \n​Here’s how it works: \n\nRide solo\, with your family\, or as a team of up to 4\nVisit participating local businesses and family-friendly spots to complete fun challenges and collect playing cards.\nStart anytime after 9:00 AM—you don’t need to commit your whole day! Your ride your way!\n\nMany teams can collect enough cards for a hand in under an hour.\n\n\nBe at One Eyed Jack (Wellington Plaza) by 3:00 PM for the post-ride celebration and prize ceremony\, running until 5:00 PM\n\nWhether you’re on a bike\, e-bike\, or e-scooter\, all two-wheeled riders are welcome. This Smiles on Us event will donate thousands of dollars in free dental care and provide much needed relief to people in the community. \nAttendees are asked to arrive early as the event is first come\, first served and are also encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and to bring chairs\, blankets\, water\, snacks\, etc. as they may be outside waiting to be seen. \nThis is the 12th annual event for Georgian Dental. This sort of outreach comes complete with improved smiles\, relief from suffering and a warm sense of gratitude that pervades.
