Fire Crews Knock Down Barn Fire Near Collingwood
Essa Fire Kept Tabs on the Rest of Clearview Township As Its Firefighters Fought Back Flames
Firefighters were able to keep a barn fire at bay near Collingwood.
Emergency crews were called to a barn on 33-34th Sideroad near the 5th Concession outside Collingwood around 1:30 Tuesday afternoon, arriving to find the structure fully engulfed.
Clearview Deputy Fire Chief Roree Payment complemented his crews efforts after the fact, saying they were able to contain the blaze at the barn’s riding area. He went on to note Essa Fire’s standby coverage as many Clearview firefighters were at the barn.
All stations operating at barn fire on 33/34SR, GREAT effort by crews who stopped the fire at the riding arena. First rate pump ops by first in rig. Thnx @RossRparr for a tanker & @EssaFire for standby coverage in the south end & @Barrie_Fire control for a gr8 job as always pic.twitter.com/izb1dAuWqJ
