Colts defenceman selected in the 6th Round by the Anaheim Ducks

Colts rearguard Mathew Hill goes in the sixth round to the Anaheim Ducks in the NHL Entry Draft.

The 18-year-old Oakville product has 3 goals and 13 assists in 95 OHL games with the Colts.

In Anaheim, fifteen different defencemen suited up for the Ducks this past season, including former Colt Jake Dotchin.

Maple Leafs send Marleau to Hurricanes

The Toronto Maple Leafs send forward Patrick Marleau to the Carolina Hurricanes along with a conditional first round pick (2020) and a seventh round selection (2020) in exchange for a sixth round pick (2020).

There are reports that the Hurricanes will buy out the remaining season on Marleau’s contract (cap hit of $6.25 million) making him an unrestricted free agent.
