Inaugural Collingwood Pride Festival delayed a year due to COVID-19 pandemic

Smaller, community-focused events expected this summer instead

The organizers behind Collingwood Pride have decided to put off its inaugural festival until next year.

The Rainbow Club of South Georgian Bay has postponed the festival to the summer of 2021, instead of the original start date of July 17th, 2020, over an abundance of caution in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We know this decision will come as a disappointment to many, but our community is creative and resilient.  The Rainbow Club hopes to produce a cluster of smaller community-focused events later in the summer of 2020 should the health climate improve, so stay tuned!” says Pride Managing Director Andrew Siegwart.
