Innisfil Gets Revenue Payment From OLG

Innisfil receives the first-quarter non-tax gaming revenue cheque of $2,097,730

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation hands over the first revenue payment to Innisfil.

The first-quarter cheque (April 1st-June 30th) is worth $2,097,730 for hosting Gateway Casinos.

Since November 2001, Innisfil has received more than $83 million in non-tax gaming revenue.

“OLG has established tremendous partnerships with host municipalities and the revenue generated at these local gaming sites is helping to improve the quality of life for individuals and families right across the province. These funds are invested in plenty of important projects, including much needed investment in local infrastructure, community programs and services, roads and public transit”

Andrea Khanjin, MPP for Barrie-Innisfil

The payments are made under an equitable formula in the Municipality Contribution Agreement that determines the funds municipalities receive for hosting a gaming facility. It’s based on a graduated scale of gaming revenue that is consistent across all sites in Ontario.
