Laptops Swiped From South End Store

Anti-Theft Mechanisms Disabled

Barrie Police are asking for help in identifying the two men it says made off with a pair of stolen laptops.

The thefts happened over the course of two store visits late Monday evening. Two suspects went in on separate occasions and allegedly disabled the anti-theft mechanisms that secured the laptops to their displays.

Store surveillance shows the laptops being concealed in track pants. One Google Pixel Book and one MacBook Pro were taken, valued at $4,200.

The suspects are described as:

  • Male brown, heavy set, approximately 5’7, in his 20’s with a black beard wearing black track pants, white running shoes and a navy blue, white and red zip up sweater.
  • Male brown, normal build approximately 5’7, his 20’s with black facial hair wearing black track pants, grey shirt and a dark coloured zip up sweater.
