Lone Suspect In Bank Robberies Sought

Police say a man visited a pair of banks in Orillia in the span of a few hours

A pair of robberies being looked at by the OPP.

Both incidents taking place in Orillia Thursday afternoon within a few hours of each other.

Police say a lone suspect walked into a downtown bank first, handed the teller a note demanding cash but fled the bank, empty handed, through the rear parking lot.

Two hours later, the same man walked into a west end bank, again handed the teller a note demanding cash; this time an undisclosed amount of cash was handed over and the suspect exited the bank through the front entrance.

No weapon was seen during either occurrence.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a 35 year old Parry Sound man (pictured above).
