Whether you’re eating one with french fries, caesar salad, or brown beans, nothing beats a juicy burger piled high will all the fixings. Here are a few of our favorite places to grab a burger.
Kenzington Burger Bar
How could we not start with Kenzington Burger Bar? It’s right there in the name. With two locations in Barrie, it’s easy to get in and wrap your lips around one of their amazing burgers. Our pick is the PB&J. Trust us, it’s the perfect combination of sweet and salty. It’s the closest thing we have to a Crabby Patty with jellyfish jelly after all.
Have you ever been eating a burger and thought the meat to bun ratio is all wrong? If so, Wimpy’s Diner has a burger where the meat extends well beyond the edges of the bread. It’s big, delicious, and we’re really not exaggerating when we say it’s the size of your head.
Come in for lunch we’re open! We got something on the menu for all diets and cravings!Posted by Grillicious Gourmet Tap and Grill on Tuesday, June 25, 2019
Grillicious offers up authentic Muskoka food truck flavours, right here in the heart of Barrie. One of these fantastic creations is the Love At First Bite Big Guy Homeburger Handmade. The name is a mouthful and thankfully, so is the burger. A delicious combination of AAA Canadian beef, arugula, pickled red onions, tomato, and roasted red pepper aioli, all piled sky-high on an Italian Foccacia bun (and you know we add cheddar and bacon).
Nothing goes better with a burger than a cold glass of beer. Get yourself over Redline Brewhouse and try one of their signature craft beers along with the amazing Roadhouse Burger. Crispy onions, smoked mozzarella and BBQ sauce can find no better home than on this delectable patty.
The Works took the phrase “everything but the kitchen sink” and did more than run with it, it broke into an all-out sprint. With a massive selection of burgers with crazy combinations, it’s no wonder why they call a burger with just cheese and ketchup the “Ho-Hum”. If you can only try one, do yourself a solid and get the onion, egg, pineapple, beats, and gouda stacked “Down Under”.
The Local Gastropub
If you are adhering to a vegetarian lifestyle, we don’t want you to miss out on celebrating national burger day. The Local Gastropub offers up their Hollis Burger, a vegetarian style burger made with a brown rice brown bean patty with tomato chutney and a beet aioli. Oh, and they also have tons of craft beer to choose from.
Let’s end this list with the iconic Barrie burger hotspot: Barrie Burger. Nothing fancy, just a collection of simple and tasty burgers. When they’re this good, what else do you need? Definitely go for the 5 oz Banquet Burger that’s stacked with cheese and smoked back bacon, or if your feeling particularly hungry, up it the 10 oz Super Burger.
