Midland OPP lay impaired driving charges after vehicle was found stuck in off-road trail

The driver fled police and was arrested a short distance away from their vehicle

Police received a report on Wednesday night about a vehicle that became stuck after entering a Sunnyside area trail in Midland.

On the scene, police found the driver trying to free the vehicle. The suspect then fled form police on foot but was arrested a short distance away.

Police noticed signs that the driver may have been under the influence of alcohol and conducted further investigation. As a result, the driver was charged with impaired driving.

They are expected to appear in court August 6th.
