Ontario reports the lowest number of new COVID-19 cases in almost two weeks

The province has 14,432 cases of the virus, including deaths and recoveries

Positive numbers to come out of Sunday’s COVID-19 caseload update from Ontario health officials this morning.

The 437 new cases is the lowest figure in nearly two weeks. There were also 24 new deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 835.

Across Ontario, the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19, including deaths and recoveries, stands at 14,432. More than half of the cases(8,000) are considered resolved. The number of people in hospital with the virus is 1,660. Nearly 60 per cent of all COVID-19 cases in the province have been reported by health units in the GTA.

The Simcoe Musoka District Health Unit will report the latest numbers locally on Monday. As of Friday, there were 237 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Simcoe Muskoka including 124 recovered, 10 hospitalizations and 15 deaths.
