Pair Sought Following North End Five-Finger Discount

Theft Discovered Later, After Checking CCTV

Barrie Police are on the hunt for two women, after a shoplifting was reported in the city’s north end.

Investigators say the pair went into the Reitmans on Bayfield St Saturday, and continuously refused offers of assistance from store staff, instead ducking into unmanned areas. A later review of surveillance footage allegedly revealed the pair were busy removing clothes from hangers and stuffing them in purses while no one was looking.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1

  • Female, dark skin
  • Aged 30’s or 40’s
  • Approximately 5’3” tall, heavy build
  • Short dark hair on the sides, with a longer red stripe down the center of her head
  • Wearing grey and navy track pants and a t-shirt

Suspect #2

  • Female, dark skin
  • Aged early 30’s
  • Approximately 5’6” tall, medium build
  • Long dark curly hair
  • Wearing black pants and a “Fila” sweater
