Province Further Funds To Expand Midwifery Services

Government commits $28 million to expand services

The Province is injecting further funding into midwifery services.

$28 million will be kicked in by the governing Conservatives aimed at giving families access to additional choice in primary care during a pregnancy, birth and postpartum.

The money, in a release, is set to help new midwifery graduates entering the field, increasing access to culturally appropriate midwifery and ensuring midwifery practice groups can update their technology to continue providing quality services.
