Search for missing Bradford teen to resume Thursday

Large-scale search for Siem Zerezghi has involved ATVs, K9 Unit, drone and Auxiliary officers

An extensive search on the ground and from the air was conducted Wednesday for a missing Bradford teenager, and will resume again on Thursday.

15-year-old Siem Zerezghi was last seen at his home last Friday evening.

He was reported missing the next day.

South Simcoe Police with assistance from Georgian Bay Volunteer Search and Rescue have covered an area of two and a half square kilometres of on-ground searching. In addition, two K9 Units have travelled over 35 kilometres as a process of their search. Auxiliary officers, ATVs and a drone have also been used in the search for Zerezghi.

Acting Sgt. Dave Philips says police are grateful for the public’s support and encouraged people in Bradford to continue to check their properties.

“If you are a landowner in Bradford and have an opportunity to check your property, look for any signs of someone who has been residing maybe in an outbuilding, or an abandoned property or house.”

Firefighters will join the search on Thursday.

Siem is described as:

  • Between 5’8″ and 5’11”
  • thin build
  • short buzzed hair
  • wearing a blue windbreaker, white and blue Nike sandals with socks

If anyone has seen Siem or has any information regarding his disappearance, please contact South Simcoe Police at 905-775-3311, 705-436-2141 or contact Crime Stoppers.
