Outbreaks continue at three long-term care homes in the region

Just three new cases of COVID-19 are being reported by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) today, and a second straight day with no increase to the number of lives lost.

The SMDHU caseload stood at 443 as of Friday morning and does include 328 people who have recovered. That’s an increase of four since yesterday’s update and represents 74 percent of all cases in Simcoe and Muskoka. Ninety-six percent of cases are in Simcoe, the rest among Muskokans.
