Just three new cases of COVID-19 are being reported by the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) today, and a second straight day with no increase to the number of lives lost.
The SMDHU caseload stood at 443 as of Friday morning and does include 328 people who have recovered. That’s an increase of four since yesterday’s update and represents 74 percent of all cases in Simcoe and Muskoka. Ninety-six percent of cases are in Simcoe, the rest among Muskokans.
The SMDHU continues to report outbreaks at three long-term care facilities within its area: Owen Hill Care Community in Barrie, Bayview Retirement Home in Waubaushene, and Collingwood Nursing Home.
