Split A Pitcher: The Best Barrie Patios

Temperatures in the positives? It's Time!

It’s finally patio season! With such a lively downtown and a crisp breeze flowing off the bay, let’s make sure you’re at the best patios in Barrie, enjoying a cold one.

P.I.E

You’d think being the first to bring wood-fired pizza to Barrie would be enough but P.I.E is making sure to cement itself even further as a go-to spot with its fantastic patio just seconds from the lakefront. Enjoy the summer weather with some signature pizza right across the street from Centennial Park.

Hooligans

Did someone say rooftop patio? Right across the street from Heritage Park, Hooligans offers a gorgeous view of Barrie from 3 stories up! Be sure to enjoy the patio on Mondays with a drink and wings because it’s buy a pound get a pound!

Il Buco

What a view!

Named one of the “100 most romantic restaurants in Canada for 2017”, Il Buco offers up authentic Italian food cooked by a master chef with fresh ingredients. Spend your next summer date night on the patio enjoying good company (and an even better view).

The British Arms

With its brand new menu and grand re-opening on May 7th, The British Arms has never been more ready for patio season! Check out their extensive new menu including traditional pub fare like Yorkshire, Lamb Shanks, and Sheppards Pie!

Queens

Day or night, Queens is here for you!

A hometown bar & grill in the day and a nightclub at night, Queens has got you covered from the time you wake up, to when you go to bed. A large and inviting patio sits right on Dunlop allowing just enough sun and breeze to caress and comfort you.

Donaleighs

Enjoy the summer weather!

Along with quality pub fare and authentic Irish ales, lagers, and stouts, Donaleighs has live music and a comfortable patio for you to enjoy. Bring some friends and try the Beer Cheese Dip (try not to fight over it).

Kenzington

Whether you’re in the south end or downtown, Kenzington Burger Bar has two locations in Barrie and both have fantastic patios! Grab one of their mouthwatering burgers with a craft beer flight!

McReilly’s

Thankfully, pubs are everywhere in Barrie

Can’t get enough of that pub vibe? Well here’s another one for you! McReilly’s has live music and a relaxing patio while you enjoy fantastic food from specialty dishes to traditional pub fare. Fridays special is a prime rib burger and fries for $8.00!

Grillicious

Try Barrie’s newest hot spot

The new kid on the block is coming in strong with a fantastic spot for a day on the patio. Opening a few months ago, Grillicious serves craft beer and a delicious food truck menu from the comfort of their new permanent home in Downtown Barrie!

Barnstormers

Another craft brewery but this one is located closer to the south end. Barnstormers has trivia nights, unique brews like the watermelon infused “Windshear” ale, and of course, a splendid patio!

Flying Monkeys

It’s been here a long time for a reason

A craft brewery with a lot of character, Flying Monkeys has been a staple of Downtown Barrie since 2004. With iconic and unique craft beer, fun and inviting atmosphere, and a delightful patio to boot, this brewery has got enough to keep it going until pigs (or monkeys) fly.

St. Louis

With food and drink specials every day like half price wings on Tuesdays and $6 Margaritas on Saturdays, there’s a reason to hit up the St. Louis patio every day of the week! Not to mention there are 3 different locations in Barrie!

Village Courtyard Park Place

Throwing a bit of a curveball on this one! The courtyard has regular patio seating at Nando’s and The Italian Eatery but with the lawn chairs, benches and fireplace outside, feel free to grab a bite at any one of the restaurants and have a nigh time meal by the fire!

Jack Astor’s

With tons of shareable favorites like Ye Old Faithful Macho Nachos, Thick-Cut Bruschetta, and Lobster and Crab Dip, Jack Astor’s is a perfect place to spend an afternoon (or the whole day) with friends.
