The Town of Wasaga Beach is now live streaming all its council meetings.
Thanks to a recent investment in cameras for the council chamber, people can now to tune-in through the town’s website.
“Now by going online, the public can access coordinated committee, committee of the whole and council meetings,” said Dina Lundy, director of legislative services and clerk. “You can watch a meeting as it happens or when it is convenient. You get to choose how you stay informed. Of course, residents are welcome to attend our meetings in person as well.”
Past town meetings are also now being archived and viewers can access individual items on the agenda, rather than having to search in the recording. Simply select the item on the agenda and the video will play from when it is being discussed.
“This makes accessing information about council discussions and decisions easier than ever before,” said Lundy.
These enhancements improve communication with the public and make information more easily accessible to those who can not make it in person.
