Two from New Tecumseth and one from Bradford representing region’s only COVID cases on Friday

Three new cases, three recoveries reported by local health unit

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is confirming just three additions to its COVID-19 caseload on Friday, only the second time in a week where that number was in the single digits.

The Health Unit says two people from New Tecumseth and one from Bradford-West Gwillimbury represent Friday’s additions to its caseload, as the health unit adds another three people who have recovered in the past 24 hours.

Outbreak declarations continue at two long-term care homes in the region, the Stayner Care Centre and Simcoe Manor in Beeton, and at three workplaces within the region. The Health Unit isn’t providing further details on these workplaces in order to protect patient privacy.
