UPDATE: Third Suspect Taken In In Whitchurch-Stouffville Homicide

Police still searching for a third suspect in the March investigation

July 11th

A third suspect taken in the ongoing homicide investigation in East Gwillimbury.

A 19 year old Toronto man will appear in Newmarket court next week facing a charge of Second Degree Murder.

A 22 year old Sutherland man was found deceased back in March of gunshot wounds in Whitchurch-Stouffville.

The other two suspects will appear in court next week as well.

July 4th

New charges laid in an ongoing homicide investigation in East Gwillimbury.

A 22 year old Sutherland man was found deceased back in March of gunshot wounds in Whitchurch-Stouffville.

A 21 year old Toronto man faces charges of:

  • Second Degree Murder
  • Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Firearm in a Vehicle
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm with Ammunition

He will be appear in Newmarket Court on July 18th

The first suspect, a 23 year old from Toronto, is due in court on July 19th facing a Second Degree Murder offence.

York Regional Police are still searching for a third suspect, described as male, Black, wearing a large chain.

May 9th

York Regional Police say an 18-year-old man wanted for First Degree Murder has been arrested in a shooting death May 3rd on Bloomington Road East in Whitchurch-Stouffville. Police say the youth, who was subject of a Canada Wide Warrant, turned himself in last night to Halton Regional Police.

In addition, two youths charged with firearms-related offences are facing additional charges of First Degree Murder and accessory after the fact.

The shooting took place at a party at a residence.

May 8th

York Regional Police want help finding the suspect alleged to be involved in a homicide in Whitchurch-Stouffville.

He faces a charge of first-degree murder following the weapons call Friday, May 3. When officers arrived they located a man who was deceased.
