Police Investigating a Fail to Remain Involving Young Child

Investigators from the Barrie Police Service Traffic Unit have summonsed a 28-year old Barrie man to appear at the Provincial Offences Court located at 45 Cedar Point Drive on Friday, September 27th.

The driver of the vehicle involved is facing the following charges:

  • Careless Driving Cause Bodily Harm
  • Fail to Report
  • Fail to Remain

Police are looking for the driver of a white Chrysler 300 with possible front passenger side damage, after a young boy was struck while riding his bike in Barrie.

It happened on Agnes St. near Bayfield and the 400, around 1:00 p.m. Sunday.

A 9-year-old boy was riding his bike when nearby residential cameras show a vehicle traveling the same direction, knocking the boy to the ground from behind.
