Vehicle strikes cruiser, flees traffic stop in Bradford on Friday

Other vehicles forced off the road as Chrysler 300 sped away

A motorist was in no mood to chat when a South Simcoe Police officer attempted a traffic stop at a Holland Street West gas station around four Friday afternoon in Bradford.

The motorist allegedly drove into the officer’s cruiser, then sped off over the curb and median onto Holland Street.

The officer was not injured.

The suspect car forced other vehicles off the road and was last seen turning northbound on Summerlyn Trail.

No citizens were injured.

The suspect was wearing a dark coloured protective mask.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the following vehicle:

  • Older model Chrysler 300
  • Bright blue in colour
  • Very dark window tint
  • Aftermarket rims
  • No front plate
