A new petition has been started at Change.org that wants to add a Terry Fox display at Disney’s Epcot Theme Park in Orlando, Florida.
Terry Fox is a Canadian icon who, after having one of his legs amputated, ran 5,373 km across Canada to raise money for Cancer research. After 143 days of running, his journey was cut trajectory short when his cancer came back. However, inspired by his amazing actions, over $750 million has been raised in his name in the fight against cancer.
If anyone deserves a spot at the Canadian Pavilion at Disney’s Epcot Theme Park, it’s Terry Fox. The petition is asking for Disney to add some sort of display to honour one of Canada’s biggest heroes.
While it’s still a fairly new petition (so there aren’t many signatures yet), you can head over to Change.org and sign it right now!
