NOTE: Edgehill has been reopened as of 9pm

A 52-year-old woman is in hospital with serious injuries following a crash in the Edgehill and Ferndale Drive area.

Barrie Police say it’s unclear at this time why the woman’s vehicle left the road around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The crash continues to be under investigation.

Edgehill Drive will remain closed between Ferndale Dr. & Jages Dr. for approximately 2 hours while Police conduct an investigation. A 52-year-old Barrie woman has been taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Further information will follow when available. <jm> https://t.co/8eRwnTR9Of
