Police identify person killed in Highway 400 crash

Car struck a rock face

Southern Georgian Bay OPP have identified the female passenger killed in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 400 north of Port Severn.

She is 30-year-old Brianne Thomson of Gore Bay.

Police said the northbound car she was in struck a rock face, just south of Crooked Bay Road, shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Thomson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 26-year-old male driver from Gore Bay was taken to a Muskoka hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police continue their investigation into the crash.
