The South Simcoe Police Service is investigating a suspicious fire in Bond Head early this morning.

Police and Bradford Fire and Emergency Services responded at 2 a.m. to a report of a structure fire at a construction site in the County Road 27 and Highway 88 area.

"Once on scene, emergency crews discovered two unoccupied homes in a new subdivision were ablaze," police said in a release. "There were no injuries."

Officers say the same two homes were involved in a fire a few months ago.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated.

Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity, people, or vehicles in the area, is asked to contact the South Simcoe Police Service at 705-436-2141 or 905-775-3311.
