School bus driver with kids on board charged in Innisfil crash

Arrest made in Bradford shootings

An Innisfil man has been charged with careless driving after a school bus with kids collided with a car.

South Simcoe Police say this happened around eight this morning at the intersection of Yonge Street and 6th Line in Innisfil.

Officers on scene reported the collision happened in the intersection and there was debris scattered on the road.

According to dashcam footage of the collision provided by a witness, it's alleged by police that the school bus entered the intersection when it was not safe to do so and the rear of the vehicle was struck by the car.

There were 22 kids on the bus, according to police, and two students suffered minor injuries and were checked over by paramedics, but they did not require hospital care.

The car driver was taken to the hospital as a precaution with minor injuries.
