Barrie police investigating after man's body pulled from Kempenfelt Bay

Barrie police are investigating after a man's body was located in Kempenfelt Bay on Wednesday.

Communications coordinator Peter Leon tells Barrie 360 that they were alerted around 5:34 a.m. about a body in the water, in the area of Bayfield Street and Simcoe Street by the transient docks.

The person was transported to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Anyone with information should contact the Barrie Police Service.
