A 39-year-old Barrie man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Wednesday evening.

Around 6:10 p.m., Barrie police say they were alerted about the collision on Ferndale Drive North, just north of Edgehill Drive.

Police say the rider was pronounced dead at the scene after he left the road and "struck a fixed object."

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash camera video is asked to contact Detective Constable Avery at davery@barriepolice.ca.

Investigators are specifically looking for a dark-coloured four-door Subaru travelling in the left lane and a red motorcycle travelling in the right lane on Ferndale Drive North, near the driveway to the city landfill.
