There is going to be some digging out to do.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Barrie, Orillia and Simcoe County, and most of southern Ontario, from Windsor to Cornwall. Forecasters say heavy snow will move into the area this evening and continue until Tuesday morning with snowfall accumulations of 15 cm, possibly reaching 20 to 25 cm in some places.
Another problem will be a strong wind gusting to 50 km/h per hour which will cause local blowing snow.
Snow is also expected but amounts in the 5 to 10 cm range fall below warning criteria.
Forecasters are also watching another storm system from Texas that could drop more snow on the region Thursday.
