Provincial police have arrested a youth in connection with the theft of vehicles from the Orillia Recreation Centre.

On numerous occasions throughout March, Orillia OPP say they responded to calls about vehicles being stolen from the parking lot.

According to police, it appears thieves had been going into the change rooms and taking car keys from the unlocked lockers of the victims.

A 16-year-old has been charged with three counts of theft of a motor vehicle and one count of property obtained.

Police say their investigation is ongoing.

If you have information about it, please contact the Orillia OPP Detachment at 705-326-3536 or the Provincial Communication Centre at 888-310-1122
