Orillia OPP’s ‘proactive efforts’ led to two charges in four hours on April 4.

Police say while patrolling the area of West St. S, they conducted a traffic stop at around 7:55 p.m. The stop occurred after authorities observed a traffic violation.

Following their investigation, OPP charged the 45-year-old driver with impaired.

Less than four hours later at about 11:23 p.m., OPP say they charged a 33-year-old.

While conducting a RIDE program in the area of Highway 12 and Highway 11, authorities say the driver refused to provide a breath sample.

The driver was arrested and charged with failure or refusal to comply with demand.

Both suspects had their vehicles impounded for seven days and their licenses suspended for 90 days.
