Barrie police say a person who went to a Hewitt Place home with an item they were selling was allegedly robbed when he got to the residence.
Police say they were called about the incident around eight Wednesday night.
After establishing a perimeter around the residence and determining there was no threat to public safety, police with the assistance of the tactical support unit called the residents out of the home. Police received judicial warrants and investigators were able to enter the home and search for evidence related to the original call.
Four male youths aged 14 to 17 and three adults have been charged with:
- Armed Robbery
- Robbery with Violence
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Assault With a Weapon
- Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm
The suspects are being held in custody and have a bail hearing scheduled for Thursday.
