5 ways to (pumpkin) spice up your life at home

'Tis the season (no, not that season)

So, it’s a chilly fall afternoon, you’ve got a big sweater on and you’ve wrapped yourself up in a warm blanket. The last thing you want to do is get in your car and drive anywhere for a hot drink or a sweet treat. Well, we’ve got you covered with a list of simple pumpkin spice recipes you can make from home!

Pumpkin Spice

  • Ground cinnamon
  • Ground ginger
  • Ground cloves
  • Ground nutmeg

Let’s start with the basics and work our way up. One of the easiest things to make is a simple pumpkin spice recipe so you can add it to anything you want! Just mix up all the ingredients and store them in an airtight container for up to six months.

Pumpkin Spice Latte

  • Milk
  • Pumpkin Puree
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Pumpkin Spice
  • Espresso

Now that you’ve got your cupboards stocked with the key ingredient, it’s time to make the quintessential fall drink. Start by heating up your milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla extract, and pumpkin spice together on the stove and then add it to your favourite coffee or espresso (Can’t go wrong with anything from Beaver Rock). Then, who are we kidding, what Pumpkin Spice Latter is complete without a healthy dose of whipped cream on top?

Pumpkin Spice Fudge

  • White chocolate chips
  • Sweetened condensed milk
  • Pumpkin puree
  • Pumpkin spice
  • Vanilla extract
  • Kosher salt

You read that correctly. Pumpkin. Spice. Fudge. Sweet, delicious, and a whole lot easier to make than you might think. In a large bowl, combine white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk and microwave it on medium for 1-minute intervals, until smooth. Then, fold in the pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, vanilla, and salt until it’s smooth again. Line a pan with parchment paper, spray with nonstick cooking spray, and pour in your mixture. Place it in the fridge for 3 hours and voila, Pumpkin Spice Fudge!

Pumpkin Spice Jello Shots

  • Coffee
  • Gelatin
  • Kahlua
  • Heavy Cream
  • Pumpkin spice

Having a party? Pumpkin Spice Jello Shots might just become your new must-have for fall get-togethers. In a small saucepan, bring coffee to a boil, turn off the heat, and whisk in gelatin, Kahlua, heavy cream, and pumpkin spice. Then just divide the mixtures into plastic shot glasses and store in the fridge for 1 hour! We always like to add whipped cream and a dusting of pumpkin spice to the top too.

Pumpkin Spice Popcorn

  • Popcorn
  • Sugar
  • Pumpkin Spice

Just because it’s the easiest recipe on the list doesn’t mean it’s any less delicious. All you have to do for this one is pop a bag of your favourite popcorn and sprinkle on a mixture of sugar and pumpkin spice. The perfect combination of sweet and salty, Pumpkin Spice Popcorn is a great addition to any fall movie night.
