Full-day Blacksmith Workshops

Join us for an immersive full-day workshop at Discovery Harbour on the shores of beautiful Penetanguishene Bay (Georgian Bay).
Learn historic blacksmith skills alongside a blacksmith instructor in a small group setting.

Date and time:

  • May 2 to September 5, 2026.
  • Saturdays only – in English (reservations recommended)
  • Sunday, June 28 and Sunday August 30 – in French (reservations required)
  • 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Cost:

Adults (15 years old+): $200.00 including tax. Reservations are highly recommended as space is very limited.

What is included:

  • Safety briefing
  • Tour of the historic site emphasizing historic trades
  • A tour of the H.M.S. Tecumseth Centre
  • Gloves, safety glasses, heat-proof apron, ear protection
  • Hands on instruction including blacksmithing techniques
  • Finalizing your take-home metalworks project
