
South Simcoe Police say a driver who took off from officers during a traffic investigation in Bradford on Saturday is still being sought.
Just before 2 p.m., officers began looking into a vehicle in a retail plaza off Holland Street West. According to police officers observed driving behaviour consistent with careless driving, along with concerns about possible misuse of licence plates and issues related to how passengers inside the vehicle were secured.

"Before officers could conduct a traffic stop with the vehicle, the driver accelerated out of the retail plaza westbound on Holland Street. Police briefly attempted to stop the vehicle however, the driver mounted a curb to flee through a gas station and failed to stop. Due to public safety concerns, the pursuit was discontinued," police said in a social media post.
Police said the driver was believed to be travelling with a female passenger in her early 20s and a female child thought to be under the age of two.

The vehicle was later recovered in York Region in the area of Cityview Drive and Highway 400
Investigators are seeking the public help in indentifying the male.
