Investigators say the vehicle had been reported stolen from the Midland area earlier that morning.

A 27-year-old Midland man has been charged with dangerous driving, flight from a peace officer, impaired driving, failure or refusal to comply with a demand, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, operation while prohibited, failing to stop after an accident, failing to comply with a probation order, and possession of heroin.

The accused was held in custody for a scheduled bail hearing on Wednesday.

The suspect's driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle has been impounded for 14 days.
